KEBA KeDrive D3-EM energy manager

The KeDrive D3 drive system can be expanded with a controlled energy storage system. 

Essentially, the system consists of an energy manager and an energy storage device.

Energy storage systems are used in a variety of applications. Whether for the storage

of energy generated regeneratively in the drive system or for buffering and the provision

of energy in peak load situations.

The energy manager KeDrive D3-EM, as a dynamically regulated step-down converter,

makes use of a large DC link voltage range.

In this way the system can store and deliver more energy compared to storage modules

of the same capacity directly integrated into the DC link.

The energy storage system can be combined with both passive and active supply units.

The requirements specify the selection of the supply.

Cost-effective drive technology for compact machines

Machines with only a few axes need an "all-in-one multi-axis controller" like the new KeDrive D3-AC.

It includes an integrated AC mains input, motor output and control, a mains filter and the braking resistor.

The unique feature of the KeDrive D3-AC is that up to 3 drive controllers are integrated into one device.

This aspect permits a very compact design and greatly reduces the wiring effort.

Analog input module KeConnect AI 240/A features four analog voltage inputs that process differential or

ratiometric input signals in the range from ±10 V or 0-10 V with a resolution of 14 bit.

A sensor failure, should it occur, is reported to the higher-level central module and can be evaluated in the application.

This module is attached directly to a CPU module or can be operated with all KEBA controls by means of a bus coupler.
