Aerotech BM Series Brushless Rotary Motors

Our BM servomotors use permanent rare-earth magnets with a skewed,

low-inertia rotor design to deliver high torque output, excellent torque-

to-inertia ratio, minimal torque ripple and smooth velocity performance.

Unlike DC brush-type servomotors, BM motors feature a low-maintenance

brushless design, making them ideal for critical applications that cannot

tolerate downtime.

Wide Torque Range

The BM motor series covers a wide range of torque and package sizes.

Continuous output torque ranges from 0.17 N·m) to 11.0 N·m, with peak

torques ranging from 0.51 N·m to to 27.6 N·m. Standard frame sizes include

NEMA 17. 23. 34. and 42.These motors are well-suited to general purpose

and high-end servo applications.

Application Flexibility

The standard motor has a digital RS-422 line driver output with Hall effect

device outputs for commutation. Options include increased encoder resolution,

1 volt peak-to-peak (1 Vpp) encoder output, sealing for IP65 level protection,

brakes, and gearboxes. Standard models can be delivered from stock and

custom variations can be engineered to your requirements with minimal lead

time.
