The 2500S family of Slice I/O modules expands the capability of
2500 Series® Systems to include small drops of I/O connected
over Ethernet. Slice I/O modules communicate to 2500 Series®
Processors using CAMP protocol and read/write directly to the PLC
memory or I/O image table. This allows transparent integration
into the 2500 Series® system without the requirement for any
complicated configuration step. Ethernet connection to the CPU
can be accomplished using the on-board port on 2500-Cxxx
Processors, or using a 2572 / 2572-A Ethernet module.

Note that when using 2572 or 2572-A modules, Slice I/O can be
connected even to legacy Siemens® and Texas Instruments PLCs.
Several models of Slice I/O are available with different mixes of I/O
and with additional communications options including RS232/485
and 900MHz radio. Slice I/O modules feature Universal Analog Inputs
which allow connection of 0-5V, 0-20mA, thermocouple, and RTD
sensors. All Slice I/O modules can also be configured to communicate
over Ethernet using Modbus-TCP.
Note: This unit is designed to work on a battery so +12VDC is operating
voltage, not +24VDC.
The CTI 2500-RIO-A RS485 Remote Base Controller is a member of Control
Technology's family of I/O modules compatible with programmable controllers
from Siemens® and CTI.
The 2500-RIO-A RS485 Remote Base Controller (RBC) allows a 2500 Series™
I/O base to function as a remote base. The 2500-RIO-A is intended to be a
replacement for the Siemens® 505-6851-A RBC.
The 2500-RIO-A resides in 2500 Series™ base. It installs in the second slot
from the left, adjacent to the power supply module. When used in a
2500-R11-A Redundant Base, two 2500-RIO-A units can be installed
in the third and fourth slots from the left, adjacent to the second power
supply.
Do not install this module into a normal I/O slot, as damage can occur.
The 2500 Series® Compact Controllers bringexciting new features and a new
level of process performance to CTI’s 2500 Series® Control Systems.
The Compact Controller easily handles small to large discrete and process
applications. Compact processors have the same features and performance
as our Classic processors, and include PID loops, alarms and special
mathematical functions to make them perfect for process applications.
The controllers are supported by a complete range of digital, analog, and
specialized I/O modules, power supplies, and I/O bases, all available from
CTI.
The 2500-PADP is a Power Supply Adapter that enables the use of CTI 2500
Series® power supplies within legacy Texas Instruments Series 500 I/O bases.
This adapter offers a seamless upgrade path, allowing you to modernize your
Series 500 system without a complete system replacement.
You can immediately replace failed Series 500 power supplies with reliable
and compatible CTI 2500 Series® replacements. Subsequently, when budget
and/or time permits, you can then transition to a full CTI 2500 Series® system
without losing your initial investment in the replaced power supplies.
The 2500C-8-AO is designed for CTI’s 2500 Series® Compact I/O System.
The module provides 8 outputs that can be configured for voltage or current
signals on a channel by channel basis.
