Part Number IS200DRTDH1A Manufacturer General Electric Country of Manufacture As Per GE Manufacturing Policy Series Mark VI/VIe Function Module Availability In StockThe IS200DRTDH1A is an RTD input terminal board developed by General Electric as part of the Mark VI Speedtronic system. This compact board is designed for DIN-rail mounting and offers eight RTD inputs, linking to the VRTD processor board via a single cable. Its design mirrors that of the TRTD terminal board, ensuring compatibility and integration flexibility across different setups. Features Vertical Stacking: The DRTD board allows for vertical stacking on the DIN-rail, optimizing cabinet space by enabling multiple boards to be aligned neatly one above the other. This feature conserves valuable real estate and ensures an organized setup. Scalability: Two DRTD boards can be connected to the VRTD processor board, expanding the system to accommodate up to 16 temperature inputs, making it suitable for more extensive temperature monitoring and control tasks.
Simplex Version: Currently, only a simplex version of the board is available. Despite this, its efficient design and features make it a versatile and reliable solution for industrial and commercial temperature management applications. Installation DIN-Rail Mounting: The DRTD board easily slides into a plastic holder designed for DIN-rail mounting, providing a secure and stable placement within the system. RTD Connections: The board includes a Euro-Block type terminal block with 36 terminals permanently affixed, facilitating the connection of up to eight RTDs (Resistance Temperature Detectors). Typically, #18 AWG shielded twisted triplet cables are used for these connections to ensure efficient signal transmission and resistance to interference. Spare Terminals: Terminals 25 through 34 on the block are allocated as spare terminals, offering flexibility for future expansions or modifications without requiring extensive rewiring. Ground Connection: Two screws are dedicated to the SCOM (ground) connection, which should be kept as short as possible to minimize interference and ensure system stability. Operation Noise Suppression: The onboard noise suppression system is similar to that on the TRTD board. The Euro-Block terminal blocks include two screw connections for grounding (SCOM), while an onboard identification chip helps identify the board to the VRTD processor for system diagnostics.
Multiplexed Excitation: The board supplies a 10 mA DC multiplexed excitation current to each RTD, supporting both grounded and ungrounded configurations. RTDs can be located up to 300 meters (984 feet) away from the turbine control cabinet, as long as the two-way cable resistance does not exceed 15 ohms. Signal Processing: The RTD signals are processed through a VCO type A/D converter on the VRTD board, which samples signals and excitation currents four times per second in normal mode and 25 times per second in fast mode, synchronizing with the power system frequency.
RTD Types and Anomaly Detection: The system supports 15 RTD types, with software-driven linearization providing flexibility in selection. Open and short circuit detection is facilitated by monitoring for values outside the expected range. RTDs with hardware limit issues are temporarily removed from scanning, with channels reactivated after 20 seconds or manually reinstated. This comprehensive setup ensures effective noise suppression, reliable identification, precise signal processing, and proactive anomaly detection, enhancing the overall system's reliability and performance in various temperature monitoring and control scenarios.
