The ELM3244-0000 and ELM3246-0000 measure resistances very
precisely in multiple measuring ranges up to 5 kΩ and are thus
suitable e.g. for critical temperature measurements with high
requirements. They can output the resistance value directly or
transform it locally, depending on the set RTD characteristic (e.g.
Pt100/Pt1000), into a temperature that is accurate to < ±0.05°C,
depending on the type.

The Beckhoff RTD measurement capability thus ranges from the
simple EL320x through the precise EL320x 0010 up to the ELM324x.
With a sampling rate of 1 ksps, they are part of the economy line
and are suitable for observing comparatively slow processes that
nevertheless need to be tracked very precisely.

This ELM3xxx series measurement terminal enables efficient
implementation of complex system-integrated data acquisition systems
(DAQ) that place high demands on measurement accuracy and time
synchronization.
The 2-, 4-, 6- or 8-channel ELM314x EtherCAT Terminals in the Economy
line can be set to current or voltage measurement channel by channel,
offering sampling rates of up to 1 ksps per channel.
Analog signals in the ranges from ±1.25 to ±10 V, 0 to 10 V, ±20 mA
or 0/4 to 20 mA can be processed. The settings for U or I measurement
mode and the desired measuring ranges can be selected via the control
system and TwinCAT in the CoE interface. Here it is also possible to
select the extensive diagnostics features for unattended long-term use.
The 2-, 4- or 6-pin push-in connectors can be removed for maintenance
purposes; they enable a direct supply of connected sensors.
The power contacts on the side simplify the potential distribution directly
on the DIN rail. The typical EtherCAT features are available: distributed
clocks functionality with timestamp and the familiar data features of the
basic line such as filtering, true RMS calculation and more.

The EL3783 EtherCAT Terminal is a power monitoring I/O terminal
used for state monitoring of a 3-phase AC voltage system.
For each phase, voltage up to 400/690 Vrms and current up to 1
Arms/5 Arms are sampled as instantaneous values with a resolution
of 16 bits. The six channels are measured simultaneously based on
the EtherCAT oversampling principle with a temporal resolution of
up to 50 µs and then passed on to the control system.
With the processing power available there and in combination with
the TwinCAT Function TF3650. true RMS or power calculations as
well as complex user-specific algorithms can be calculated via the
voltage and current characteristics. Through the oversampling
principle, the terminal is able to measure at significantly shorter
intervals than the cycle time of the control system.
AC and DC parameters must be connected and measured with a
common reference potential.
Through the feature “ExtendedRange”, the user has the full technical
measuring range available at up to 130% of the specified nominal
measuring range. The EL3783 supports distributed clocks and can
therefore measure synchronously with other EtherCAT devices.
In combination with EL6688 it can be synchronized via IEEE 1588 to
external clocks. The terminal can also be operated without distributed
clocks.
The EL3453 EtherCAT power measurement terminal has voltage
inputs for direct monitoring of high-capacity generators up to max.
690 V AC, as is common in the wind industry, for example.
No upstream voltage transformer is required. The four current
inputs are electrically isolated so that the terminal can be used
in all common grounded current transformer configurations such
as 2- or 3-transformer configurations with star or delta connectionz
incl. neutral conductor current measurement.
The EL3453 can be used for simple grid analysis up to the 63rd
harmonics analysis.
Alternatively, all readings can be combined in a power quality factor
for simplified diagnostics. Like all measured terminal data, the
harmonic content can be read via the process data.
