Eaton’s Cutler-Hammer FP-4000 Feeder Protection Relay provides complete
3-phase and ground overcurrent and voltage protection plus metering. It may
be used as primary protection on feeders, mains and tie circuit breaker
applications, and as backup protection for trans formers, high voltage lines
and differential protection. The relay is most commonly used on medium
voltage switchgear applications. The FP-4000 takes full advantage of its
microprocessor technology, providing the user new freedoms and a wealth
of data-gathering features. The relay performs self-checking of all major
hardware and firmware protection elements to ensure their operation in the
event of a system or component electrical failure or fault. Protection functions
are well suited for main and distribution feeder circuit applications.
Eaton’s digital BR two-pole GFCI improves performance
and compatibility with 240 V applications
The redesign of Eaton’s BR two-pole ground fault circuit
breaker yields a new approach to ground fault protection
that significantly improves performance and compatibility
with 240 V applications, as well as diagnostic speed and
resolution of problems. Through its microprocessor-based
design, the BR two-pole ground fault circuit breaker makes
decisions about leakage and responds appropriately in
milliseconds, enabling the circuit breaker to disregard
transient conditions that could lead to tripping.
In addition to this enhanced level of protection, the BR
two-pole ground fault circuit breaker provides 12 new
trip code notifications to improve the accuracy of tripping
diagnosis, speeding troubleshooting and resolution time.
An ideal solution for variable frequency drives (VFDs) and
240 V equipment, Eaton’s BR two-pole ground fault circuit
breaker also features an improved series combination
interrupting rating, allowing for a more cost-efficient
project bill of material.
Magnum with Power Xpert Release trip units
The Magnum low-voltage power breakers with PXR technology deliver
accurate and intelligent circuit protection for UL1558 switchgear
applications. The digital enhancements of the PXR electronic trip units
combined with the proven reliability of Eaton’s Magnum air circuit
breakers (ACB) provide customers the ability to improve system health,
accurately and efficiently diagnose system issues, and field test quickly
for increased uptime.
