The REC670 interval level measurement, control and protection device is suitable for the control,
protection and monitoring of different types of electrical intervals in power grids,
and is particularly suited to distributed control systems where high reliability is required.
The REC670 is suitable for the highest voltage classes and can control primary equipment of any wiring method.
The REC670 can be realised remotely via a communication bus.
(SCADA station level) via the communication bus or locally via a single line diagram
displayed on the unit's front panel Human Machine Interface (HMI).

Different control modes are possible: for example, one measurement and protection
device can control one electrical interval or several electrical intervals at the same time.
It is electrically interlocked and can be used for all common wiring methods.
The control functions are based on the principle of selection before execution to ensure maximum reliability.
The simultaneous check function closes the switch for fault recording and
fault closing in the event of a single fault in the primary system.
The ranging function allows independent post-fault analyses.
Bidirectional transmission of 6x32 far jump and switching signals between selected measurement
and control protection devices within the station or between neighbouring substations.
Powerful protection functions can be flexibly applied to different substations and different busbar wiring methods.
Single-phase, two-phase and three-phase reclosers include priority circuits for multi-breaker wiring,
which together with the simultaneous detection function allow fast or slow reclosers.
The unit includes multiple circuit breaker failure protection functions that provide protection
from circuit breaker failure independent of the protective device, even for a complete string of half-breaker wiring.
Graphical advanced logic programming features enable special user logic,
such as automatic tripping operation of disconnecting switches in multi-breaker wiring, circuit breaker closing loops, load switching, and more.
Graphical tools ensure simple and fast checking and commissioning of these logics.
