The ED2807 digital output terminal connects the binary 24 V DC
control signals from the automation device on to the actuators at
the process level with electrical isolation. The EtherCAT Terminal
has 32 channels that indicate their signal state via light emitting
diodes (status LEDs). The power contacts are looped through
internally. In the ED2807 the outputs are supplied via the 24 V
DC power contact.

The connection technology is optimized for single-ended signals
(common reference point). To ensure error-free operation, all
connected components must use the same ground reference
as the ED2807.
Special features:
• suitable for controlling different types of loads:
• resistive loads (e.g., resistors)
• inductive loads (e.g., relays, contactors, valves)
• capacitive loads
• max. output current of 0.5 A per channel (∑ 10 A)
• positive switching
• short-circuit proof outputs: protection against overload or short
circuit
• reverse polarity protection in the event of incorrect polarity of the
supply voltage
The ED series EtherCAT Terminals have push-in connection technology
which makes wiring easy and tool-free.
The digital EL2788 EtherCAT Terminal provides eight switches
that can be used like a relay contact for AC/DC voltages.
The electronic switch is realized through high-performance
MOSFET transistors with low on-resistance.
The switch itself is not short circuit proof, but thanks to its
high pulse current capability it can cope with current until
an external fuse is triggered. The wear resistance increases
the availability of the application. Ohmic and slightly inductive
loads can be switched up to a rated voltage of 30 V AC/DC.
Purely ohmic loads can be switched up to 48 V DC rated
voltage. High peak voltages and electromagnetic interference
pulses are prevented. The power contacts are linked.
The outputs of the EL2788 are supplied via the power contacts.
The EL2535-xxxx output terminals are specially designed for the precise
control of single and double-coil proportional valves and proportional
solenoid valves. They regulate the output current through pulse width
modulation (PWM) of the supply voltage and are electrically isolated
from the E-bus. The current values (0 to maximum output current)
are specified by the automation device through a 16-bit value.
The output stages are protected against overload and short circuit.
Each EtherCAT pulse width current terminal contains two channels
whose signal state is indicated by LEDs. The light emitting diodes
simplify local diagnosis by displaying typical load and wiring faults.
A practical test was able to show that an EL2622-0010 remained
fully functional at a capacitive continuous current load of 4 A after
200.000 switching cycles (for details see documentation).
The signal state of the EtherCAT Terminal is indicated by light
emitting diodes.The EL2595 EtherCAT Terminal contains a
constant current source for LEDs and is designed to control one
or more LEDs connected in series.
