Brief Introduction

The SPAM150C Motor Protection Relay is a general purpose combination relay designed primarily for the protection of AC motors for a variety of applications.

It combines a large number of protection functions in one unit. The relay provides a complete set of protection against motor damage caused by various electrical faults.

The relay is also suitable for other equipment requiring thermal overload protection, such as cable or power transformer feeders.

Summary of Protection Functions

The relay thermal overload unit protects the motor against short- and long-term overloads. The maximum permissible continuous load depends on the setting value 1.

Normally this setting value is taken as the rated full load current (FLC) of the motor at an ambient temperature of 40°C. The motor can be overloaded for a short period of time if the motor is not loaded.

Reliability and Stability:

Hardware: High-quality electronic components are used, which are rigorously screened and tested to maintain stable performance in harsh industrial environments. For example, it can still work normally in the environment of high temperature, high humidity and strong electromagnetic interference, which effectively reduces the system failure caused by environmental factors.

Software: Its operating system and programming environment are carefully designed with error detection and recovery mechanisms. In the process of programme operation, if there is a small error or interference, the system can automatically carry out a certain degree of correction to ensure the continuity and stability of the control process.

Programming Flexibility: Supports a variety of programming languages, such as ladder diagrams, function block diagrams, instruction lists and sequential function diagrams. Ladder diagram language is similar to the electrical schematic diagram, intuitive and easy to understand, suitable for beginners and engineers with a background in electrical control; function block diagram focuses more on the combination of functional modules and call, convenient to achieve complex control algorithms; instruction list provides a programming method similar to assembly language, suitable for the execution of the programme efficiency of the higher requirements of the scenario; the sequence of the sequence of function diagrams can be a clear description of the control system sequence of logic Sequential Function Diagram can clearly describe the sequential logic of the control system, which is suitable for the application scenarios where sequential control is dominant. Users can choose the appropriate programming language for control programming according to their programming habits and specific needs of the project, which not only reduces the difficulty of programming, but also improves the programming efficiency and facilitates the subsequent maintenance and modification of the programme.
