Kollmorgen P80630 Stepper Drive

Welcome to our newest stepper drive platform. The fi rst drive in the new P8000 series,

P80630-SDN, off ers superior accuracy in a more compact design for stepper motors

operating on DC power at up to 5.5 Arms per phase. It’s ideal for labelers, indexing, CNC,

packaging, pumps and other single- or multi-axis applications requiring low-speed, point

to-point motion control for fi xed loads.

A New Standard of Performance

•   Positional accuracy and repeatability. When using a PMX motor, the P80630-SDN

reliably improves step-angle accuracy compared to previous drives such as the

6410 and P70530.

•   Superior power to size ratio. Compared to the 6410 drive, the new P80630-SDN

achieves 10% greater output current in a 60% smaller package.

•   Smooth motion across the speed range. The P80630-SDN reduces setup time,

optimizing smoothness, torque and precision without the need for electronic

damping control switches.

Versatile Features

•  Conventional single-ended or diff erential step and direction interface

(user-provided pulse train required) or CW/CCW command inputs.

and error monitoring.

•  Dip-switch selectable settings for motor phase current, idle current reduction

and step resolution (up to 1/128 microstep)—no programming required.

• Input voltage: 24 to 75 VDC. Phase current: up to 5.5 Arms (7.8 peak).
