DC Power Source Connections

Connect the + and - wires from the

25 VDC (nominal) power source to the top two

terminals on the terminal connector.  These connections are not polarity-sensitive on an

AC/DC input power supply.  (However, the DC Input-only type supplies, which are

discussed later in this chapter, are polarity sensitive.)

Input Overvoltage Protection Devices

This information applies to all Series 90-30 power supplies except IC693PWR322

and IC693PWR328.  The overvoltage protection devices for this power supply are

connected internally to pin 4 on the user terminal strip.  This pin is normally connected to

frame ground (pin 3) with the supplied jumper strap which is installed at the factory.  If

overvoltage protection is not required or is supplied upstream, this feature can be disabled

by  removing the jumper strap from pins 3 and 4.

The Micro 64 PLC is big on features, expandable to 176 I/O points to fast cycle times, 

robust instruction set, and generous memory to allow more flexible programming.

The optional second port provides you with the option of an additional RS-232 port, RS-485. USB, or Ethernet.

The serial expansion ports come with two analog input channels.

A user-friendly memory module is available to easily download changes to the controller without the need of a PC.

This all-in-one PLC gives you everything you need to control a wide variety of applications.

It has Two (2) serial ports, One (1) port having a physical interface

of RJ45 while the other port having a 15-pin sub-D connector,

both supporting RS232 and RS485 communication standards.

It also has a tertiary RS485 port which is situated on the power supply.

All these ports allow download, upload of user program,

perform commissioning tasks and fine tuning of the program.

These ports operate independently and may be configured

for simultaneous operation to accommodate

other data exchange functions such as communication with visualization components.

Other communication protocols supported by the IC693CPU363 are Ethernet,

FIP, Profibus, GBC, GCM, GCM+ option modules.
