The thoroughly engineered 3S series is suitable for various

applications. With a range consisting of 29 different pump

sizes with delivery rates from 5–2.900 l/min@1450 rpm the

3S series is one of the most comprehensive three-screw

pump ranges available on the market.

Furthermore, the individual pump sizes are available in

several executions ensuring a high degree of flexibility

when specifying a pump for specific system designs.

The Alfa Laval SX UltraPure Rotary Lobe Pump is designed with

optimized pump head geometry and multi-lobe rotors to ensure

low-shear operation with minimum pulsation. This makes the SX

UltraPure the best choice for maintaining the integrity of delicate

products in high-purity applications.

The pump is designed according to the most stringent hygienic

design standards and with verified, effective Cleaning-in-Place

(CIP) and Sterilization-in-Place (SIP).

Applications

The SX UltraPure Rotary Lobe Pump is designed for gentle

transportation of process fluids in high-purity applications across

the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and home and personal care

industries.

The SX UltraPure is available with 14 different pump head

displacements based on seven different gearbox modules to

handle flow rates up to 115 m3/h and differential pressures up to

15 bar.

Applications

Designed for hygienic transfer of process fluids, the Alfa Laval

MaxiLobe is ideal for dairy, food, beverage, and home and

personal care applications. Its gentle, low-shear pumping action

handles products across a wide viscosity range and is suited for

shear-sensitive media, higher discharge pressures, and cleaning

in-place processes.

The MaxiLobe rotary lobe pump is available with 12 different

pump head displacements to handle flow rates up to 112 m³/h

and differential pressures up to 16 bar.

Aalborg AV-6N boiler efficiently recovers waste heat from exhaust

gases, making it ideal for steam and/or hot water production. This

boiler is constructed to recover heat from diesel and gas engines,

gas turbines or other heat sources.

The robust and highly efficient water tube boiler significantly

enhances the overall efficiency of power and industrial plants and

reduce the use of fuel, leading to remarkable cost savings and

lower CO2 emissions.

By utilizing heat energy from engine/gas turbine exhaust or

process industry flue gas that would otherwise be released

into the atmosphere, the Aalborg AV-6N contributes to a more

sustainable operation.

Boiler design

The boiler’s compact and flexible design, which makes it easy to

install, also allows cleaning during operation, which minimizes

engine shutdowns and increases plant availability.

Designed with extended heating surface, Aalborg AV-6N is

compact and cost-effective. The possibility of cleaning during

operation minimizes the need for engine shutdowns and

increases the overall plant availability.

Natural circulation is used in the standard steam configuration

with resulting advantages for reliability, safety and energy

efficiency, although traditional forced-circulation models are

available if specifically requested.

Reliable natural circulation

Alfa Laval offers reliable natural circulation solutions as a

standard for steam applications, eliminating the need for

circulation pumps and providing several advantages. These

include enhanced reliability, minimized risk of soot fires, reduced

power consumption, cost effectiveness, fast site installation,

reduced foundation work, minimized piping and cabling, and

a small footprint. Additionally, conventional forced circulation

boilers are also available.
