With the capability to accept 24 contact inputs, the board facilitates the integration of numerous external signals into the control system. These inputs play a crucial role in monitoring various processes and equipment statuses. Features Excitation Voltage: The contact inputs of the board are supplied with a nominal excitation voltage of 24, 48, and 125 V DC from an external source.

This ensures proper functioning and reliable detection of input signals. Noise Suppression: To enhance reliability and protection against external disturbances, such as surge and high-frequency noise, the contact inputs of the board are equipped with noise suppression mechanisms. This helps maintain signal integrity and prevents false readings or disruptions in operation. Compatibility: Designed to seamlessly integrate with Mark VIe systems, offering compatibility and interoperability with GE's advanced control solutions. This ensures easy integration into existing control architectures and enhances system performance. Significance in Industrial Systems: Interface for monitoring external signals and contact inputs.  Operation Signal Conditioning: Employs similar signal conditioning mechanisms as the TBCI board. However, these mechanisms are specifically scaled to accommodate excitation voltages of 24, 48, and 125 V DC. Excitation Voltage Range: The input excitation voltage range varies based on the nominal excitation voltage- For 24 V DC excitation, the range is 16 to 32 V DC. For 48 V DC excitation, the range is 32 to 64 V DC. For 125 V DC excitation, the range is 100 to 145 V DC.

Threshold Voltage: The threshold voltage for contact sensing is set at 50% of the excitation voltage, ensuring reliable detection of input signals. Contact Input Currents: Contact input currents are resistance-limited to 2.5 mA for the first 21 circuits. This limitation helps regulate current flow and protect the board from potential overload conditions.

For circuits 22 through 24, the resistance limit is increased to 10 mA, allowing for higher current flow when necessary. Supply Current Limitation: The 24 V DC supply is current-limited to 0.5 A to prevent excessive current draw and potential damage to the board. Polymer positive temperature coefficient (PPTC) fuses are utilized for current limitation. These fuses are resettable, providing an added layer of protection and convenience in case of overcurrent events.
