IS220PTURH1A is a Primary Turbine Specific Primary Trip Pack and is part of the General Electric Speedtronic Mark VIe gas turbine control. 

This component connects a turbine control terminal board to one or two Ethernet networks via an electrical interface. 

This pack's outputs are routed through a DC-62 pin connection that connects to a terminal board. 

The IS220PTURH1A has a black outside shell with air circulation holes. 

This case contains various LED indicators on the front, as well as an IR receiver (infrared port.) This bundle does not use this port. 

A CPU board, a second board dedicated to turbine control, and an analog acquisition auxiliary board are all housed within this case.

The TTURH1C terminal board is used to mount the pack. Two 10/100 Ethernet ports, flash memory, RAM, a read-only chip for identification, 

an internal temperature sensor, and a reset circuit are all on the processor board.

Auto-reconfiguration is available on the IS220PTURH1A, which will automatically download from the controller to the I/O pack. 

Baseload, bootloader, firmware, and settings are all reconfigured. This can only happen if auto-reconfiguration is enabled. 

The Component Editor in the Toolbox ST program can enable or disable this.

The IS220PTURH1A features four magnetic speed inputs that are passive. 

The circuit sensitivity can detect a 2-RPM turning gear speed to see if the turbine has ceased spinning (turbine has stopped.) 

The pack's median speed signal is used for speed control as well as the principal Overspeed trip signal.

Install BPPC I/O Upgrade V05.01.03 across the system if currently having ControlST V04.04

Prior to ControlST V04.04 upgrade to ControlST V04.07.08C or CONTROL ST V05.0204C, or the highest available version at the next scheduled outage, 

then install BPPC I/O Upgrade V05.01.03 across the system

Reliability

I/O pack modules are very reliable and so less prone to damage. 

But the improper handling and poor storage can affect the module’s functionality, so we recommend keeping the module in static sensitive storage boxes in recommended conditions.

Functional Description

The Analog I/O pack (PAIC) is an electrical interface that connects one or two I/O Ethernet networks to an analog input terminal board. 

The PAIC includes a BPPx processor board as well as an acquisition board dedicated to the analog I/O function.

The module has ten analog inputs. The first eight inputs can be set to 5 V or 10 V or 4-20 mA current loop inputs. 

The final two inputs can be set to 1 mA or 4-20 mA current inputs.

The load terminal resistors for current loop inputs are located on the terminal board, and the PAIC senses voltage across these resistors. 

PAICH2 has two current loop outputs ranging from 0 to 20 mA.

 It also includes additional hardware that allows for 0-200 mA current on the first output only.

The I/O pack receives and sends data to the controller via dual RJ-45 Ethernet connectors and is powered by a three-pin connector. 

Field devices are communicated with via a DC-37 pin connector that connects directly to the associated terminal board.

LED indicator lights provide visual diagnostics.
