It is part of the Mark VI series. The Resistance Temperature Device terminal board serves as an interface for accommodating 16 three-wire RTD inputs, each wired to two barrier-type terminal blocks. These inputs are crucial for temperature measurement and control within the system. INPUT CONFIGURATION AND WIRING The 16 RTD inputs are intricately wired to ensure optimal functionality and accuracy. The utilization of two barrier-type terminal blocks provides a structured and organized approach for connecting these inputs, enabling efficient management and maintenance. NOISE SUPPRESSION CIRCUITRY To safeguard against potential disturbances, such as surges and high-frequency noise, the RTD inputs incorporate specialized noise suppression circuitry. COMMUNICATION WITH I/O PROCESSORS The TRTD terminal board engages in communication with one or more I/O processors within the system.

The seamless communication between the TRTD terminal board and the I/O processors streamlines the process of temperature data acquisition and ensures the accurate transmission of temperature values to the controller. INSTALLATION Each RTD is connected to the terminal blocks, ensuring a direct and reliable connection for accurate temperature measurement. These terminal blocks are firmly secured in place using two screws each, providing stability and durability to the wiring setup. The terminal blocks feature 24 terminals, capable of accommodating wires up to 12 American Wire Gauge (AWG) in size. This generous capacity allows for versatile wiring options and supports a range of wire sizes to cater to specific installation needs. Adjacent to each terminal block, a shield terminal strip is positioned and connected to the chassis ground.

This strip serves as a grounding point, enhancing system stability and mitigating potential electrical interference or noise that could affect the accuracy of the RTD readings.
