It is a part of the Mark VIe control system. The TDBS board is a versatile component engineered to facilitate contact input and output operations within industrial systems. Designed for seamless integration, it offers flexibility in mounting options and accommodates various voltage requirements. Contact Inputs The board features a robust design capable of accepting 24 group isolated contact inputs. These inputs are compatible with a nominal voltage of 24, 48, or 125 V DC, sourced externally. Each input is meticulously engineered to ensure reliability and longevity in demanding industrial environments.

Voltage Compatibility: The board's contact inputs are adaptable to different voltage configurations, providing versatility to suit diverse application requirements. Whether operating at 24, 48, or 125 V DC, the board ensures consistent performance and compatibility with existing power systems. Noise Suppression: To safeguard against potential disruptions, such as surge and high-frequency noise, the contact inputs are equipped with robust noise suppression mechanisms. This feature enhances system stability and reliability by filtering out unwanted electrical disturbances, ensuring uninterrupted operation. Relay Outputs In addition to contact inputs, the board boasts 12 form-C relay outputs, augmenting its functionality in controlling external devices or processes. These relay outputs offer versatile switching capabilities, allowing for precise control and automation of industrial operations.

Expansion Options: To further extend its relay functions, the TDBS board is designed to accommodate different option cards. These cards provide additional relay channels or specialized functionalities, enhancing the board's adaptability to specific application requirements. Flexibility in Configuration: The ability to incorporate option cards empowers users to tailor the board to suit their unique needs. Whether expanding relay capacity or integrating specialized features, this flexibility ensures optimal performance and scalability in diverse industrial settings. Mounting Options It offers versatility in mounting, supporting both DIN-rail and flat mounting configurations. This versatility facilitates seamless integration into various control panels or equipment enclosures, optimizing space utilization and installation efficiency.

Installation Mounting Options: The board, along with a plastic insulator, can be mounted on a sheet metal carrier, which in turn mounts on a DIN rail. Alternatively, it can be mounted on a sheet metal assembly that bolts directly into a cabinet. These mounting options provide flexibility in installation, catering to different enclosure configurations and space constraints. Terminal Block Connections: Two sets of 48-point terminal blocks, typically utilizing 18 AWG wires, facilitate the connections for relay and contact input circuits. The upper set of terminals, labeled TB1, is dedicated to the relay portion of the board, while the lower set, labeled TB2, is for the contact input circuits. The screw assignments for these terminal blocks mirror those found on the SRLY relay board and the STCI contact input terminal board, ensuring consistency in wiring practices. 

Shield Termination: To maintain proper electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and prevent interference, shields should be terminated on a separate bracket. This separation helps to minimize signal disturbances and ensures reliable operation and connected devices. Relay Option Board Integration: If additional relay functionality is required, a relay option board can be installed by plugging it onto connectors JW1 and JW2 on the TDBS board. The option board is held securely in place by the force of the connectors. External power, if needed, can be wired to a connector provided on the option board. Relay Terminal Functions (TB1): The following table delineates the function of each terminal point on the TB1 set in relation to the presence of an option board: NC (Normally Closed): Represents the normally closed contact of a form C relay. COM (Common): Denotes the common point of a form C relay contact. NO (Normally Open): Indicates the normally open contact of a form C relay. SOL (Solenoid Return Circuit): Provides the return circuit path for a solenoid powered by the relay board. VSENSE (Voltage Sense): Serves as the input to a voltage sensor that monitors voltage between VSENSE and COM. RETURN: Establishes the return power path for devices powered by the WROG option, ensuring proper functionality and safety. Configuration TDBS Terminal Board: The terminal board doesn't feature any jumpers or hardware settings. Its configuration relies solely on external connections and the use of option boards. WROBH1 Option Board: Option board WROBH1 comes equipped with six jumpers utilized for applying or removing power from a relay.

By default, all six jumpers are installed on the board. Removing a jumper from the board indicates the relay is to be used as dry contacts, and power distribution isn't required. WROFH1 Option Board: There are no jumpers associated with the WROFH1 option board. The inclusion or exclusion of a series fuse for each relay depends on the terminal point used as the relay common. The associated WROF fuse for each relay can be removed if direct use of the fuse voltage sensing circuit as a voltage detector is preferred. WROGH1 Option Board: Similar to the WROFH1 board, there are no jumpers associated with the WROGH1 option board. For each relay, the corresponding fuse may be removed if the relay is intended for providing dry contacts.
