Series IV CANR Enhancements include:

• Expanded DIP switch settings allow selection for CAN bus speeds up to 1M baud

• Either unit in a pair can Autobaud from the other units defined baud rate
• Improved Reverse voltage protection and CAN line noise immunity
• Increased message internal buffers – Automatic Memory Technology (AMT) operation
• Eliminates the distinction between WRC’s earlier version Type 1 and Type 2 CANR

WRC CAN bus Extenders boost signal levels, allowing longer cable lengths, longer trunk
lines, and longer drop lines without sacrificing network speed. CAN bus Extenders permit
maximum network speed and throughput on CAN, J1939. or DeviceNet network devices,
resulting in better control of the process. In addition extenders require no configuration
when used in DeviceNet applications as they are configured for autobaud operation.
The A-CANOR/B can be configured to be either a CANopen Master or Slave allowing the
user to not only integrate CANopen devices into a Logix or Modbus system, but to also
allow the user to use Logix, Modbus, or EtherNet/IP devices in an existing CANopen
network (by using the CANopen Router B in Slave mode). In a Logix system the module
can use Direct-To-Tag technology allowing CANopen devices to exchange data with a
Logix controller without the need to write any ladder or application code in Studio 5000.
The module provides a range of statistics to simplify the diagnostic process as well as a
CANopen packet capture for remote diagnosis. A built-in webserver provides detailed
diagnostics of system configuration and operation, including the display of CANopen
operation and communication statistics, without the need for any additional software.
The ELX3 ProLinx Edge™ Gateway is designed to combine OT Protocol
Conversion with edge computing capabilities to meet your most demanding
Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) applications.
For industrial protocol conversion, the ELX3 supports the ProSoft ELX-EIP
MBTCP protocol gateway container, giving you the ability to do protocol
gateway conversion for EtherNet/IP to Modbus TCP/IP. Built on the field
proven ProSoft communication gateway solutions and as an EtherNet/IP
ODVA conformance tested solution, this protocol gateway container solves
many OT protocol conversion needs.
The ELX3 additionally provides the ability to run Docker containers providing
the flexibility to run custom code for advanced applications such as machine
learning, predictive maintenance, or custom protocol drivers.
With hardware supporting an extended operating temperature range of -40C
to +70C as well as Class 1 Div 2 ratings, this Edge gateway is designed to
withstand harsh industrial environments.
