The EL3443 EtherCAT Terminal enables the measurement of all
relevant electrical data of the supply network and carries out
simple pre-evaluation.
The voltage is measured via direct connection of L1. L2. L3 and
N. The current of the three phases L1. L2 and L3 is fed via simple
current transformers. All measured currents and voltages are
available as root-mean-square values. In the EL3443 terminal,
the effective power and energy consumption for each phase are
calculated. The RMS values of voltage U and current I as well as
the active power P, apparent power S, reactive power Q, frequency
f, phase shift angle cos φ and harmonic are available.
The EL3443 offers extended functionality for mains analysis and
energy management.

In addition, the EL3443 comes with the option of transmitting
the time of the last voltage zero crossing to the controller via XFC
technology. This can be used, for example, to carry out switching
operations to suit the application.
The EL3443 can be ordered for other current ranges, such as 5 A,
100 mA or 333 mV. An overview of the different versions can be

The ED3362-0100 analog input terminal enables the direct connection
of two independent resistance bridges (strain gauges – SG) or load
cells using 4-wire or 6-wire connection technology. It records the ratio
of the bridge voltage UBridge to the measured supply voltage USense
and outputs the calculated load value as a process value based on the
terminal settings. This enables precise recording of weights, torques,
and vibrations.
The analog EL3356-0090 input terminal enables direct connection
of a resistor bridge or load cell in a 4- or 6-wire connection technology.
The ratio between the bridge voltage UD and the supply voltage UREF
is determined simultaneously in the input circuit and the final load value
is calculated as a process value on the basis of the settings in the terminal.
With automatic self-calibration (can be deactivated) and dynamic filters
the terminal with measuring cycles of 10 ms can be used for slow weighings
with high precision.
With the aid of the TwinSAFE SC technology (TwinSAFE Single Channel) it
is possible to make use of standard signals for safety tasks in any network
or fieldbus. To do this, EtherCAT I/Os from the areas of analog input, position
measurement or communication (4…20 mA, incremental encoder, IO-Link,
etc.) are extended by the TwinSAFE SC function. The properties typical for
the signals and the standard functions of the I/O components are retained.
TwinSAFE SC I/Os differ optically from standard I/Os by a yellow stripe on
the front of the housing.
The TwinSAFE SC technology enables communication via a TwinSAFE protocol.
These connections can be distinguished from the usual secure communication
via Safety over EtherCAT.
