This series was created to help with the operation of gas and steam turbines. The Mark IV is a microcomputer-based system with triple-redundant backups on all protective settings and vital controllers, reducing downtime and increasing efficiency. It also increases efficiency by allowing the user to automate some common tasks, such as startup and shutdown. The card serves as a monitor board for the regulator.

 It comes with alignment marks, factory-drilled holes, and extractors in both right-hand corners. Extractors aid technicians in insertion and extraction in confined locations by providing a lever or handle that allows them to maneuver the board without risking damaging components or circuitry.
