General Electric's Speedtronic Mark IV gas turbine control is powered by four distributed microprocessors. Gas turbine control is handled by three of the processors. The TMR processor has three cores R, S, and T. The three computers are identical, but they're each a separate gas turbine control processor, resulting in triple modular redundancy. The communications processor, core, occupies the fourth core.

The Speedtronic MKIV control panel from GE is more advanced than its predecessor, the Speedtronic MKII. Forced outages are greatly reduced using GE's Speedtronic Mark IV. Despite the series' obsolescence, the GE General Electric Speedtronic Mark IV Turbine Control System remains a reliable option.
