Features

The Mark IV system features a fundamental design that allows for software adjustment to match the needs of the user. Because to TMR construction, the panel may be repaired while the turbine is running, allowing most modules to be switched out without requiring a complete shutdown. To facilitate access, modules with the most active components are placed near the front of access panels. The majority of the connections in the Mark IV system are made with pluggable cables rather than screw-mounted terminal connections.

This simple design change from previous Speedtronic systems reduces repair and card swap times significantly. Moreover, Mark IV was developed to make use of multifunctional elements in order to reduce the overall amount of board components. This interoperability allows for a more streamlined system overall.
