Tricon CX is Triconex' most powerful security system. Each Tricon CX

controller is capable of handling 15 I/0 racks of 90 I/0 modules and

2.800 physical I0s.

Up to 254 nodes can be networked in a single peer-to-peer network,

managing more than 750.000 physical TMR I/Os.

The Tricon system is a powerful, scalable design that ensures continuous operation,

complies with international safety standards such as IEC61508. and meets the

requirements for emergency shutdown (ESD), fire and gas protection (F&G),

burner protection (F&G) and fire safety.

TMR Digital Input Modules

Each TMR Digital Input (DI) Module has three independent input channels

that independently process all data entered into the module.

A microprocessor on each channel scans each input point, compiles the data,

and transmits it to the main processor as required.

The input data is then voted on the main processor before being processed

to ensure the highest integrity.

All critical signal paths are 100% triple processed to ensure safety and maximum

availability. Guaranteed safety and maximum availability.

Each channel regulates signals independently and provides optical isolation

between the field and the Tricon.
