A single IC8PBI670 can host up to eight (001) field control I/O modules.

This IC670PBI001 operates when mounted on a Bus Interface Unit (BIU) terminal block. This terminal block provides a mounting kit that allows the module assembly to be mounted on a DIN rail. It also supports panel mounting via mounting tabs, which are also provided by the BIU terminal block.
To configure the module's node address, it comes with an array of DIP switches that are located on the Profibus network interface of the IC670PBI001. It is an array of eight (8) DIP switches for configuring addresses 00-32.

An external 24 Vdc power supply is recommended to power the module, and the input power cord is equipped with a replaceable slow blow fuse that can be replaced without changing wiring.
