About the HVX003A2-4A1B1

The Allen-Bradley HVX003A2-4A1B1 drive is part of the HVX 9000 AF series.

It has a nominal 3-phase input voltage of 480V and can operate over a range of 380V to 500V.

The output voltage can be adjusted from 0 to the input voltage level. Its power rating is approximately 3HP or 2.2kW.

The input frequency varies from 45 to 66Hz with a default frequency of 50-60Hz.

The output frequency is programmable from 0-320Hz with a frequency resolution of 0.01 Hz.

The enclosure for this drive is NEMA Type 12. The HVX003A2-4A1B1 has an ambient operating temperature of -10 to 40 degrees Celsius.

Storage temperature is between -40 and 70 degrees Celsius with up to 95% relative humidity, non-condensing and non-corrosive.

Operating vibration up to 1G at 15.8-150 Hz and altitude limits up to 1000 metres (3300 feet).

In addition to this, the HVX003A2-4A1B1 will derate at 1% of the drive's rated current.

The HVX003A2-4A1B1 requires the use of 75°C or higher heat resistant copper cable.

The maximum cable length should be approximately 984 feet (300 metres). The motor cable should be routed through other cables at a 90 degree angle.

This type of drive uses specific UL cables to ensure cable compatibility with the drive.

The HVX003A2-4A1B1 rack size uses FR4 cable and 4.8-5.6 A for NEC input current.

The power and ground cables have similar wire sizes with a value of 14. The power terminals have terminal sizes of 16-12. The same is true for the ground terminals.

The approximate dimensions of the HVX003A2-4A1B1 are 327 x 128 x 190 mm (12.9 x 5 x 7.5 in.) with a mass of 5 kg (11 lb).
