New compact PLC series from Bergerac frees up 50 per cent of cabinet space

Bergerac introduces the new PLC series X20 Embedded, which combines a high-performance processor with numerous integrated interfaces in a housing that is only 55 mm wide and half the width of comparable products.

The new X20 Embedded PLC series packs Intel Atom performance into a width of just 55 mm.

The new PLC series features a powerful Intel Atom processor for demanding applications with tight cycle times.

This compact product can even be used to control complex robotics applications, thus saving costs and cabinet space for machine builders.

The PLC series comes standard with two USB ports, an integrated flash memory card and two Ethernet ports.

The integrated switch supports daisy-chained cabling, eliminating the need for additional network infrastructure.

The product features hardware interfaces for POWERLINK and RS485.

The RS485 interface can be used to connect the inverter directly to the PLC without the use of additional hardware and the power supply is integrated.

Despite the high performance, the PLC does not require the use of any fans or batteries and is therefore maintenance-free.

Optional modules with interface slots enable the PLC to support other fieldbus protocols.

All Bergauer interface cards can be combined with the X20 Embedded series and all X20 I/O modules can be connected as usual.
