Upgrading from the Original FloBoss S600 to the New

FloBoss S600+

1. We have a large installed base of FloBoss S600s, but we want to

upgrade to the FloBoss S600+. Can we do this without replacing

the complete machine?

Yes. The upgrade process is relatively straightforward. First, save the existing FloBoss

S600 confi guration. Then disconnect and remove the original CPU module from the

case. Next, you insert the enhanced CPU module, and then download the original

confi guration fi le to the FloBoss S600+.

The new FloBoss S600+ now operates in the exact same way as the previous FloBoss

S600s, and the new features of the FloBoss S600+ are also available.

2. We are planning to upgrade our FloBoss S600s to the FloBoss

S600+, we plan on buying the required upgrade kits but will we

need a new version of Config600?

To upgrade from a FloBoss S600 to the FloBoss S600+, if none of the new features/

functionality is required, then you can still use the original version of Confi g 600 (this

must be version 1.4d or later).

While this can be carried out with Confi g600 version IPL600. the upload download

tool, it is recommended that this is carried out with a Confi g600 lite license or higher

(Confi g600 Lite+ or Confi g600 Pro).

If any the new features of the FloBoss S600+ are required, then the confi guration

must be updated with Confi g600 Pro version 3.xx or later and downloaded into the

upgraded S600+ fl ow computer.

As with all fi rmware or hardware changes it is recommended that the upgraded

FloBoss S600+ fl ow computer is tested before being put into service.

3. I have a Pro level license for Config600 v2.7. but I now want to use

the new features provided by the FloBoss S600+. How do I get a new

version of Config600 that will allow me to use the new features?

Please download the latest version from Supportnet®  and then then apply for a new

license using the online instructions from the tool. If you already have a valid license

for a particular version (such as Confi g lite), you will be able to get a similar license for

the latest version.

If you do not have a valid license yet, you will need to contact your local sales

representative.
