TE Connectivity Introduces Field-Mountable High Transmission Rate Industrial Connectors

TE Connectivity (‘TE’), a global leader in connectivity and sensing, announced the launch of MINI I/O CAT5 connectors, MINI I/O CAT6A connectors, and HDC HMN EMC modular inserts, designed to provide high transmission performance, high adaptability, high retention, and support for easy installation. We aim to provide connectivity products with high transmission performance, high adaptability, high retention, and support for easy installation to meet the growing demand for connectivity and sensing in the field of industrial automation robotics.

In order to support the growing demand for industrial robots, TE launched a new connector and module plug-in for industrial robots for the actual application scenarios and application difficulties in research and development, to help more efficient production.

The new Mini I/O CAT5 connector and Mini I/O CAT6A connector are specially designed for field installation in harsh industrial environments, and are only 25% of the size of traditional RJ45 plugs, which saves board space and supports easy and error-free installation. The Mini I/O CAT5 connector features a compact metal latching mechanism that prevents accidental pulling or unplugging, enabling latch activation for high-density applications, ensuring optimised signal integrity and high retention of the connection.

The Mini I/O CAT6A connector accommodates 8-wire AWG25/26 cables and combines miniaturisation and high transmission performance to provide connectivity and support for cameras and other high-speed peripheral devices.

The new HDC HMN EMC module plug-in supports EMC shielding, has a large module bit count of 32P and a small amount of component layout, along with reliable HDC dynamic contacts, while providing a modular EMC protection solution, it is able to integrate signals and power into a modular system, reducing the connector footprint and effectively lowering costs.
