Short description

Serial interface modules of the SX 2x0/A series are used as an option directly in a CP 23x or in a CP 26x CPU module.

They enable the connection of an RS 232. RS 422/485-A or Current Loop serial interface. This interface operates in full

duplex mode with a maximum transmission rate of 115.000 baud.

The Current Loop interface (SM 220/A) functions both for transmitter as well as for the receiver in active or passive ope

ration. The operating mode is switched on the side on the PCB via DIP switches.
