Delta's New Multi-Channel CNC Controller NC5 Series at TIMTOS x TMTS 2022

Delta, a global manufacturer of power management, thermal solutions and automation, announced today that it will debut at the TIMTOS x TMTS 2022 tool and machine exhibition from 21 to 26 February with the theme of ‘Cloud Connectivity for Smart Manufacturing’ to open up the future of smart machining. The future of intelligent machining. Delta's ‘Smart Machining Solution x Equipment Networking’ is a one-stop shop for intelligent machining solutions with CNC intelligent production line architecture, from equipment and edge data collection to monitoring and analysing systems, empowering equipment with intelligent capabilities. In addition, with over 10 years of experience in the machine tool industry and customer feedback, Delta has developed a new high-performance general-purpose solution with upgraded computing power, independently integrated multi-axis and multi-channel and RTCP (Rotation Tool Centre Point) functions, to meet the growing demand for advanced machining with high precision and high speed, multi-tasking, and 5-axis machining. During TIMTOS x TMTS 2022. guests can take a look at the new NC5 series of CNC controllers, which made its public debut in Delta's ‘CNC Industry Applications x Related Applications’ section. Among them, the multi-channel intelligent machine tool solution looks forward to the future of intelligent manufacturing, using the new OPEN CNC controller NC50E, which has upgraded control response, forward-looking preview and computing performance, and is connected to the AC servo drive system ASDA-A3 / ASDA-B3 series through the EtherCAT communication bus to realise the simultaneous control of four stations, namely, lathe, drilling/tapping, milling and robotic arm, so that ‘one machine multi-tasking’ is possible. The ‘one-machine-multi-task’ autonomous integration capability meets the advanced applications and demands of the trend of intelligent manufacturing. On the other hand, Delta will also lead guests to see how software can help hardware enhance value, integrating machine tool industry-specific 3D CAD/CAM software in the NC5 series to simplify complicated operations, accelerate user introduction and reduce personnel training resources; meanwhile, for industrial robot integration solutions, DRASimuCAD, a robot simulation and integration platform, can be paired with a simulation and evaluation beforehand to automatically generate machining paths, shortening programming time and increasing the number of machining paths. Intelligent machinery is an important step towards intelligent manufacturing. To help manufacturers increase productivity or realise a small number of diverse production modes, Delta will exhibit intelligent machining solutions at TIMTOS x TMTS 2022.
