Alvium 1800 Series Compact Modular Cameras

Allied Vision has officially launched the Alvium 1800 series of compact modular cameras equipped with Sony's innovative InGaAs SWIR sensors. The new 1800 series models are equipped with USB3 Vision or CSI-2 interfaces, and with built-in SenSWIR sensor technology are widely used for broad spectrum applications at wavelengths from 400 to 1700nm. The Alvium 1800 U/C-030 is equipped with an IMX991 sensor supporting VGA resolution, while the Alvium 1800 U/C-130 is equipped with an IMX990 supporting SXGA resolution.

The Alvium 1800 SWIR cameras are the smallest industrial grade uncooled SWIR core modules on the market. The series combines a small design, low power consumption and light weight, making it ideal for building compact OEM systems for embedded and machine vision applications.

Sony SenSWIR Sensor Technology

Sony's SenSWIR sensor technology supports a wide spectral range, allowing users to achieve high photographic quantum efficiency in both the visible and SWIR spectra with a single camera, thus reducing overall system costs.The innovative structure of the InGaAs digital sensor reduces pixel size to 5μm and improves image homogeneity thanks to Cu-Cu interconnect technology. For SWIR applications where high resolution and precision are required - such as semiconductor inspection of optics in laser measurement systems or quality inspection - smaller pixel sizes are particularly important.

Quantum efficiency of Alvium SWIR

The Alvium SWIR core module offers a choice of USB3 Vision or MIPI CSI-2 interfaces and includes a GenICam-compatible function control system. Industrial-grade hardware and fully optimised drivers take them beyond the visible spectrum, providing a plug-and-play experience for building all types of vision applications, with the flexibility to switch between PCs or embedded systems.

Wide Operating Temperature Range to Meet All Changes

All Avium camera models are designed to operate in temperatures ranging from -20°C to +65°C, making them ideal for use in environments with changing operating conditions, such as outdoor imaging.
