Short description
The IM 270/W is a cost- and space-saving compact module. It combines the typical I/O design for plastic injection
molding machines in one module and offers functions for changeover point detection. In addition to application in the
plastics sector, it can also be used in other areas.
The IM 270/W supports the “fast control” concept. Innovative EtherCAT communication between the compact module
and the CPU module is used here to minimize dead times and thereby greatly reduce reaction times. This increases the
performance of the machine considerably.
Depending on the type of inputs and outputs, various diagnostic possibilities are available, such as the detection of
sensor failures or short circuits.
The IM 270/W is connected to the CPU module via EtherCAT. To adapt the I/O configuration to the application,
KeConnect C2 modules can be attached at the side directly via the K-bus.
