Beckhoff ED3078 | EtherCAT Terminal, 8-channel analog input

The ED3078 analog input terminal is a universal 10 V/20 mA input module in the

16-bit class for simple control tasks. Input signals in the -10/0...+10 V or -20/0/

+4...+20 mA ranges can be processed per channel. Voltage and current signals

are connected to different terminal points. CoE can be used to set each channel

to U or I mode in TwinCAT or from the controller.

The voltage and current inputs are single-ended. This means that one channel

connection point in each case is connected to the 24 V DC or 0 V DC power

contact in the terminal. All inputs are digitized with 16-bit resolution and

transmitted electrically isolated to the higher-level automation system.

With a technical measuring range of ±107% of the nominal range, the terminal

supports commissioning with sensor values in the limit range as well as evaluation

in accordance with NAMUR NE43.

The ED3078 has eight individually configurable inputs.
