Cameras with integrated cooling tubes provide high-precision images even in high-temperature environments

Because of the integrated cooling tube, Baumer's CX.XC camera can supply high-precision pictures for use in high-temperature environments or for micron-level measurement tasks.

In order to supply high-precision pictures or to collect them reliably in high-temperature environments, Baumer has launched a new industrial camera with cooling tubes integrated directly into the housing - the CX.XC camera.

XC camera. The camera can be cooled with compressed air at 2-3 bar or liquid at up to 6 bar and is therefore well suited for inspections at high ambient temperatures.

For example, it is installed on glass production lines close to the furnace. XC camera collects very low image noise, has few defective pixels and supports high dynamic output, thanks to the useful heat dissipation around the sensor and lens.

The CX.XC camera is capable of high-precision measurement tasks, such as inspecting silicon wafers of micrometer thickness, and does not thermally affect the lens or picture characteristics.

The new CX.XC camera eliminates the need for additional cooling components, which then saves time and costs for system integration.

The 5-megapixel CX-series camera with integrated cooling tubes and a Sony Pregius sensor will start volume production in Q4 2021.
