Motor Ratings

Motor performance depends on the heat dissipation capability of the motor package.

The ratings on the following pages assume that the motor is mounted on a metal mounting bracket capable of dissipating heat.

The ratings assume the following:

a.) For BH12x and BH22x: Continuous duty ratings apply to motors mounted on 96 sq. in. 1/4 in. thick aluminum panels.

b.) For BH42x, BH62x, and BH82x: Continuous load ratings are for motors mounted on 452 square inch 1’ thick aluminium panels.

c.) Equivalent thermal mass and radiant surface area are common parts of conventional machine designs. Other applications require derating.
