Product Description

The ARG600 Wireless Gateway allows wireless monitoring and control of field devices from a central site or control centre over a cellular network.

The device provides industrial quality connectivity based on TCP/IP and serial port protocols.

The ARG600 Wireless Gateway has integrated communication capabilities for seamless integration with SCADA systems.

The Wireless Gateway ARG600 is a member of the ABB Arctic product family and part of the 600 Wireless Gateway product family.

With the Wireless Gateway ARG600. it is possible to connect legacy IEC 60870-101 devices to modern TCP/IP-based IEC 60870-5-104 control systems. This is made possible by the

protocol conversion to IEC 60870-104. The ARG600 also supports protocol conversion from Modbus RTU to Modbus TCP.

DNP3 serial devices can be connected to DNP3 TCP SCADA systems. In this case, the DNP3 protocol is transmitted via TCP/IP communication (transparent serial gateway mode).

The ARG600 wireless gateway can be used in a variety of industrial and utility applications to maximise benefits.

The wireless gateway ARG600 is usually part of a complete communication system consisting of an Arctic 600 series gateway and a central M2M gateway, the ARM600 Communication Server.

The M2M gateway is an important part of the overall communications solution and has the functionality required to build a reliable end-to-end communications system.
