ABB Remote I/O device for switchgear RIO600

The RIO600 is a flexible and robust remote I/O device for distribution substations.

It can be used in a variety of distribution and grid automation applications

using IEC 61850 and Modbus TCP communications.

The RIO600 is used to extend the digital I/O (inputs/outputs) of the ABB Relion® family of protection relays, to

and to provide I/O for the station automation unit COM600 in primary substations.

As part of a grid automation solution, it can also be used in secondary distribution

substations as a combined I/O and fault channel indication device.
