Aerotech has recently released a new version of its Automation1 motion manipulation platform.
Version 2.7 releases new software updates and additional support for actuators and laser scopes, including 3D data visualization, new HMI customization tools, improved development tools, and enhanced scanning galvanometer control (ESC).

This feature allows laser scanner users to achieve higher peak speeds and throughput.

Key updates to Automation1 2.7 include:
● 3D data visualization. Automation1 Studio Data Visualization now enables users to plot their motion trajectories in three dimensions (3D).
Users can view 3D data with intuitive panning, zooming, and cursor manipulation, and add annotations to 3D data by viewing single-dimensional moment-to-moment trajectory plots together.
Customization Module. Users can customize HMIs more than ever before with the Automation1 MachineApps HMI builder for Windows PCs.
With the new Customized Module thing, they can develop HMI modules using .
NET. These modules can be used with the standard modules on any HMI screen designed with MachineApps.
● Developer improvements. Users can develop faster with Autmation1 Studio's new Program Variables tab and Big Picture String Variables support.
This allows users to view program variables and global string variables as they build, optimize, and debug their application code.
● Customized driver platforms. Motus 1 drive platform brackets are now located in the Machine Setup Guide and are available in 95 mm, 125 mm, and 170 mm frame scale options.
These platforms are unique in that they maximize payload and actuator speed, making them ideal for pick-and-place, part shuttle, and gantry use.
Aerotech's partner Motion Plus has them in stock for fast shipment.
● Laser Scanner Control Enhancement (ESC). This feature is beneficial to our laser scanning galvanometer customers.
ESC allows our industry-leading scanning scopes to stabilize and accelerate faster, resulting in higher motion speeds.
It also eliminates the need for "jump delay" and reduces tracking errors.
Other improvements include: offset compensation support, new task variables, INI file support, Modbus TCP/IP for drive-based manipulators,
Improved Configuration Signals dialog, user-defined task errors and warnings, CNC functionality for MachineApps HMI, improved Sidebar module, Aeroscript, and Help function improvements.
