igus Introduces First UL Listed Power Cable for Cable Bridges and Drag Chains

The chainflex cable CF33.UL is safe for use in drag chains and cable bridges and comes with a warranty of up to 4 years.

igus has developed the first UL-certified power cable for drag chains and cable bridges - chainflex CF33.

UL and offers a warranty of up to 4 years for use in drag chains. The cable can be laid seamlessly from the drag chain to the cable tray without connectors.

UL has also added a shielded PVC power cable to the chainflex range.

Cables are not the greatest product. However, you would not be able to read this article without cables.

Cables must withstand a variety of loads such as high and low temperatures, high dynamic motion, UV radiation, and even fire.

igus has now developed a CF33.UL power cable that is particularly suitable for drag chains and cable bridges.

The special feature of this cable is that it is UL listed - in accordance with the UL 2277 standard for flexible motor power cables.

Thanks to these tests and igus' 30 years of experience in the field of mobile cables, igus has recently extended the warranty on its new power cables to four years or 10 million reciprocating movements.

igus has also incorporated laboratory data into its online tools, such as the chainflex service life calculator.

With the help of this tool, customers can calculate the durability of cables in their applications online.

As a result, chainflex highly flexible cables can then help customers to further increase the sustainability of their applications.

The reason for this is that prematurely replaced or broken cables generate more CO2 emissions due to the production and transport of replacement parts.
