The ProSoft Technology Rapid Industrial Hotspot (RLX2-IHNF) provides secure wireless solutions for factory floor, SCADA automation,

SCADA automation, process control systems and mobile worker Wi-Fi infrastructure.

It operates in 2.4 or 5 GHz bands, including DFS channels, for indoor or outdoor applications.

The hotspot supports access point, repeater and client modes. 802.11n technology provides fast data rates of up to 300 Mbps.

This provides excellent packet-per-second performance and robust communications in harsh industrial environments.

802.11n MIMO and channel bonding support demanding wireless applications such as Ethernet I/O and high-resolution video.

The included IH Browser configuration and monitoring software allows users to view network topology, assign IP addresses, monitor network diagnostics and update radio firmware.

The optional OPC Diagnostic Server is ideal for managing wireless SCADA networks over long distances.

Features and Benefits

EtherNet/IP™ or Modbus® based PLC/PACs can use message commands to read diagnostic information from the radio, helping to reduce downtime when troubleshooting wireless networks.

802.11i, WPA-2 Personal/Enterprise with 128-bit AES encryption secures the network RADIUS security secures the network with advanced authentication and encryption Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs) enable secure network segmentation

Network Address Translation (NAT) eliminates the need for machine builders to change IP addresses every time a machine is deployed

Quality of Service (QoS) provides data prioritisation for I/O control devices, video data, etc.

Ultra-fast roaming (less than 10 milliseconds) maintains seamless, high-speed connectivity with one or more devices on mobile equipment and machines such as cranes, AGVs, and transporters as they move between access points

IGMP snooping and packet filtering optimise UDP multicast traffic for superior EtherNet/IP I/O communications

Supports communication with multiple Ethernet devices when used with existing third-party wireless infrastructure

Supports AeroScout RTLS (Real-Time Location Service) tags by passing signals from the tag to the network

Supports Power over Ethernet (PoE) to reduce cabling costs

Disaster recovery feature allows radio configurations to be stored on a microSD card for quick replacement in the field

Serial network connectivity (Modbus, DNP 3. etc.) via 802.11 wireless network

Simple local and remote configuration, monitoring and wireless network diagnostics via IH browser utility or SNMP
