In the field of industrial automation, the quality and performance of the operating elements are very important to ensure the efficient and safe operation of the plant.

These compact control and information elements have a wide range of uses during plant operation and can be used to switch and display numbers, for example, to select and display the form of operation.

Recently, PILZ launched the compact operating unit PIToe, which, thanks to its excellent planning and versatility, offers an additional option for a wide range of industrial applications.

Features of the PIEoe operating unit

The PIToe is a lightweight, compact device that can be installed in small spaces.

It is suitable for installation in 22.5 mm diameter openings in accordance with EN 60947-5-1. has anti-rotation protection, switches and displays digital inputs and outputs, and can be used to select and display operating modes.

In combination with the PITreader, it ensures that only authorised personnel with the appropriate permissions are able to activate the corresponding interfaces, thus enabling access to the device and enhancing its security.

Advantages of PIEoe operating elements

PIToe can be perfectly integrated with equipment and machine planning, and is suitable for installation or modification to control consoles, control panels and so on. When not in use, the cover protects the operating elements with a protection level of IP65. ensuring durability and reliability.

● PIT oe ETH - Activatable Ethernet port

As an industrial Ethernet interface, the PIT oe ETH can be completely activated and deactivated electrically and works like an extended Ethernet interface on an industrial PC. Programming, configuration or backup by authorised personnel is promised.

● PIT oe USB - activatable USB interface

The PIT oe USB provides an activatable USB 2.0 host interface for importing programmes, deleting data and connecting a keyboard or mouse. the USB port is activated by a 24 V signal and the "ready" status is indicated by an LED ring.
