Omron's unique SRM1 Distributed I/O Controller breaks away from traditional PLC control with a completely revolutionary design.

The SRM1 Distributed I/O Controller puts all the processing power and control in a master unit and allows the designer to distribute up to 256 I/O points over a twisted pair network.

Designers can create a remote I/O network with up to 32 nodes at distances up to 500 metres away.

This reduces wiring costs, increases flexibility, lowers system costs and achieves optimum efficiency when I/O must be located away from the CPU.

Many types of remote devices can be added to the CompoBus/S network, including Discreet or analogue I/O, sensor terminals, sensor amplifiers.
