Aerotech Introduces Compact, Cost-Effective Single- and Multi-Axis Servo Drives

Aerotech Corporation today introduced the new Automation1 XA4 and iXA4 pulse-width modulated servo drives.

These cost-effective single-axis and multi-axis faceplate servo motor drives integrate a complete range of motion controllers and I/O expansion options.

Four-axis versions, additional I/O expansion and DC motor power options will be available in the future.

Automation1 XA4 1-axis or 2-axis pulse width modulated servo drives

The XA4's two-axis design simplifies multi-axis motion control, enabling precise, efficient control of multiple axes in the same machine space.

Coupled with the easy-to-use Automation1 motion control platform, the XA4 servo drive speeds builds, improves product quality and throughput, and reduces development time.

It connects to Automation1's PC base and Driver base controller products via HyperWire® high-speed motion bus, supports a wide range of feedback devices, and features onboard high-speed data capture and process control memory.

Automation1 iXA4 1- or 2-Axis Pulse Width Modulated Servo Drives and Motion Controllers

The iXA4 brings Automation1's precision control to multi-axis motion, reducing machine footprint and eliminating the need for an industrial PC.

It can control up to 12 axes of HyperWire® motion and run up to nine user tasks on the embedded Automation1 controller.

The iXA4 acts as a driver, supports a wide range of feedback devices, and is equipped with on-board memory for high-speed data capture and process control.
