The new MX system combines Pepperl+Fuchs' extensive knowledge of system and component technology with practical application experience.

The MX System is a unified modular automation package that can completely replace traditional control cabinet plus module solutions in many applications.

The system consists of a robust aluminium base plate with protection class IP67 and integrated module slots.

The slots are equipped with an EtherCAT communication interface and an integrated power supply (safe extra-low voltage as well as 400 V AC and 600 V DC).

The largest expansion stage can even accommodate 400 V AC/63 A connected loads. Modules are provided for mains access and other control cabinet functions.

For field-level connections, the modules use connection plugs that are well established in automation technology.

The combination of base plate and modules has a protection class of up to IP67. It can be mounted directly on the machine.

The system reduces a great deal of work for the manufacturer, especially in the design and installation phases, while the integrated diagnostic functions of the system significantly reduce complexity for the end user.

Combined, this results in a modular control cabinet system with a high degree of protection that can be installed directly on the machine without the need for an additional protective enclosure.
