The MVIPC-616 4-Slot VME-IndustryPack

Carrier card is a drop-in-replacement for the

GE-IP SBS VIPC616 and VIPC618

Features

The MVIPC-616 provides mechanical

mounting and the electrical interface from the

VME backplane to 4. single-wide

IndustryPacks or up to 2. double-wide

IndustryPacks. The carrier supports I/O, ID,

memory, and interrupt functions.  It conforms

to the IndustryPack Logic Interface Specification.

As with all Merlin Embedded DIR products, the

MVIPC-616 has the same, or better, functional

performance than the product it is replacing. All

Merlin Embedded products are backed by a 2

year warranty and 15 years of life-cycle

support. The user will not have to take on any

obsolescence issues when utilizing Merlin

Embedded products.

• Interrupts - IndustryPack interrupts mapped 1:1 to

VME IRQ levels by shunt or PLD selections.

• Front Panel I/O Access - One pair of 50-pin right

angled keyed, shrouded ribbon cable connectors with

ejection hardware for each pair of IndustryPack slots

• Back Panel I/O Access - All 50 I/O pins from slot D

and a configurable selection of 14 pins from slot C

routed to VME bus P2 rows A and C

• Indicators - 1 green LED per slot to indicate

accesses. 1 green LED to show power to slots A and

B. 1 green LED to show power to slots C and D

• IndustryPack Site Features - 8 MHz only. IO cycles,

ID cycles, memory cycles, interrupt acknowledge

cycles. 32-bit interface and IndustryPack DMA are

not supported.
