Auto-lock prevents unauthorised network connections.

Disabling unused network connections is a security "best practice" that helps you comply with factory security policies.

With the switch's built-in one-click lockout feature, you simply click a button in the DeltaV Network Appliance Command Centre application to

to automatically lock all unused network ports on your system. Easily protect your network from intrusion.

The port locking algorithm has been enhanced to allow locking of multiple daisy-chained DeltaV nodes,

as well as detection of new nodes within dynamically determined uplink ports.

You can also configure the switch to ignore lockdown commands on specific switch ports if the application requires it.
