LMI Technologies (LMI), a global leader in 3D scanning and in-line inspection, has officially launched the GoMax NX intelligent vision accelerator.
The GoMax NX is a compact, fanless cooled, high-performance embedded device.
It is capable of accelerating any Gocator sensor or multi-sensor network in large inspection applications that require increased data processing power.
Advantages of GoMax NX acceleration include:
- Easy setup, startup and operation through the Gocator web browser interface
- Adds GPU data processing power to Gocator 3D line laser profiling and snapshot sensors
- Simultaneous acceleration of Gocator multi-sensor networks
- Multiple GoMax NXs can be added to further speed up a multi-sensor network.
GoMax NX improves real-time data processing performance, minimising inspection cycle time and optimising overall inspection performance to give customers the best possible results.
Some of the applications suitable for using the GoMax NX accelerator:
- Multi-sensor ring scanning - Gocator line laser profile sensors scan composite panels in a ring layout
- Robot Mounted Weld Inspection - Robot mounted automotive weld inspection using Gocator snapshot sensors to inspect points around the frame.
- Power Cell Foam Inspection - Gocator Snapshot Sensors are used to measure and inspect power cell foam.
Simply connect the GoMax NX to any Gocator sensor, and through an intuitive web browser-based interface, the robot will be able to measure and inspect the foam in the power cell,’ said Robert Uebbing, LMI's Technical Product Manager.
