The GE Fanuc / Emerson Automation IC695CPE305 is a PACSystem RX3i controller module.

The controller has 5MB of RAM and 5MB of non-volatile user memory and a processor speed of 1.1 GHz.

The processor speed is 1.1 GHz with a typical scan rate of 0.72 ms per 1000 Boolean instructions.

The processor has two (2) serial communication ports supporting RS232 and RS485 communication standards, one (1) Ethernet communication port, and one (1) USB 2.0 host port.

About the IC695CPE305

The IC695CPE305 programmable automation controller (PAC) is part of the PACSystems RX3i automation platform.

The controller was manufactured by then GE Fanuc Automation (now Emerson Automation).

The IC695CPE305 has advanced features that are superior to most of today's PACs.

The controller has the capability of Ethernet communication via one (1) Ethernet communication port.

The port supports 10/100 Mbps communication rates and can be used to communicate with programming workstations, Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.

In addition, the Ethernet port supports OPC UA, allowing connection to third-party devices via the OPC protocol.

The IC695CPE305 is not limited to Ethernet communication as the controller also integrates two (2) serial ports that support RS232 and RS485 communication standards.

It is also equipped with one (1) USB 2.0 master port that allows downloading and uploading of user programmes from a smartphone's thumb drive.

The IC695CPE305 5MB RAM and 5MB non-volatile user memory has a processor speed of 1.1 GHz and a typical scan rate of 0.72 milliseconds per 1.000 Boolean instructions.

It supports a variety of network protocols such as Ethernet (PROFINET, Ethernet Global Data, Channel, Modbus TCP server and client),

Genius, PROFIBUS DP, and DeviceNet.The IC695CPE305 allows control of up to eight (8) racks, including CPU racks.

This controller supports the installation of additional communication cards that support Serial, Genius, CMX (Reflective Memory), and Ethernet.

This single-slot controller supports up to eight local racks.

The IC695CPE305 RX3i central processor or CPU is electrically designed to comply with PCI 2.2 standards.

It is compatible with generic backplanes, RX3i series PCI devices, and GE Series 90-30 serial devices.

The module's power requirements are 1 amp at 5 volts DC, 1 amp at 3.3 volts DC, and 0.5 amp at 24 volts DC.

It supports SNP slave, serial I/O, and Modbus RTU slave serial protocols. Ethernet interface specifications include programmer connections,

10Mb/s and 100Mb/s Ethernet data rates, 10BaseT RJ-45 configuration, and remote site manager over UDP.

The IC695CPE305 CPU can be installed in any slot pair in the RX3i mainframe, except the highest numbered slot.

The CPE310 controller can be easily swapped with the CPED305 controller, which is capable of accommodating existing user programs in the processor.

In order to configure the module, Proficy Machine Edition Logic Developer 7.0 SIM 3 or higher is required.

The IC695CPE305 RX3i CPU is a central processor manufactured by GE Fanuc.

It comes with a single slot, 8 local racks, 5 MB of user memory, 1.1 GHz processor speed and RS-232 embedded serial communications.
