DESCRIPTION: The IC695ALG628 is an analog input module that is part of the PACSystem RX3i platform, which is currently part of Emerson Automation and was formerly manufactured by GE Intelligent Platforms (GE IP). The module features eight (8) non-isolated single-ended input channels or four (4) differential input channels supporting +/-10 VDC, 0-10 VDC, +/- 5 VDC, 0-5 VDC, 1-5 VDC, and 0-20 mA, 4-20 mA, and +/- 20mA input signals. The module has a built-in ADC converter that converts data to floating point data type integers with 24-bit resolution. The module supports High Speed Addressable Remote Sensor (HART) version 5.0.

The IC695ALG628 is an analog input module with High Speed Addressable Remote Sensor (HART) 5.0 functionality. This module is part of the mid-range controller family, the PACSystem Rx3i series with eight (8) analog input channels (configured as single-ended) and four (4) input channels (if used in a differential distribution line configuration). It comes with two (2) internal HART modems. The module's parameters and configuration are completely software configurable and each channel can be individually assigned high alarm, low alarm, high high alarm, low low alarm detection and reporting to the CPU. In addition, positive and negative rate of change alarms and configurable interrupts for channel alarms and faults can be set accordingly. The module also comes with upgradable firmware and performs an automatic calibration each time the module is powered up.

The module's analog input channels are designed to accept +/-10 VDC, 0-10 VDC, +/- 5 VDC, 0-5 VDC, 1-5 VDC and 0-20 mA, 4-20 mA and +/- 20mA input signals. It has built-in analog-to-digital (ADC) converter circuitry that converts received analog data to 24-bit registers or 32-bit integers in floating point. Each module channel has a variety of filter options, often used to eliminate signal fluctuations for more stable readings.

The module's power consumption is 450 mA maximum @ 5.0V +5%/-2.5% and 625 mA maximum @ 3.3V +5%/-3%. It incorporates continuous maximum overcurrent protection rated at +/-28mA and continuous maximum overvoltage protection at +/-60 VDC. The module has an open-circuit detection time of up to 1 second.

GE Fanuc IC695ALG628 Non-Isolated Differential Analog Input Module with HART (High Speed Addressable Remote Transducer) Communication for RX3i PacSystem PLCs provides 4 differential input channels and 8 single-ended input channels. It has 2 internal HART modems and features HART version 5.0 HART communications on each channel. The analog input module has internal power supplies of 3.3 V (600 mA) and 5 V (450 mA). It has flash memory for future upgrades, error reporting, rate-of-change alarms, software that can be configured without setting jumpers, terminal insertion or removal detection, and complete auto-calibration.
