Safety Manager™ is based on reliable Quadruple Modular Redundancy (QMR™) diagnostic technology and 2oo4D architecture.

QMR increases system flexibility, enhances diagnostic messaging, and increases system fault tolerance for critical applications.

This technology enables Safety Manager to handle multiple system failures to meet the needs of critical control applications.

In addition, Safety Manager is the cornerstone for integrating SIL (Safety Integrity Level) rated sensors and valve actuators in the field.

This ensures effective deployment of safety instrumented functionality for complex and hazardous processes.

Whether it's integrating SIL1-2 safety transmitters (ST3000 and STT250) or safety valve positioners

to enhance safety and field asset management, Safety Manager is the perfect enabler for Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS).

The IO modules utilize European standard sized instrumentation cards.

The module front panels are 3 HE (3U) high and 4 TE (4 HP) wide. Each IO chassis holds 18 IO modules.

All IO modules have standard 32-pin DIN 41612F connectors.

All IO chassis are equipped with an IO backplane with mating 32-pin connectors and key coding to prevent incorrect insertion of IO modules.

Safety Manager offers a wide range of digital and analog inputs and outputs with different characteristics to meet the needs of a variety of field devices.

Table 12 on the next page lists the available inputs and outputs for the Safety Manager.
