Honeywell Releases Latest Version 520.2 of Experion® PKS Process Knowledge System

Honeywell recently released the latest version of its Experion Process Knowledge System (PKS), Experion PKS R520.2 (hereinafter referred to as R520.2).

For many end-users in the industrial field to bring new technology and new features of process automation.

The R520.2 solution is centered on Experion PKS Control HIVE, a highly integrated virtualized environment.

The R520.2 solution is centered on Experion Control's highly integrated virtualized environment (Experion PKS Control HIVE), which enables users to integrate individual controllers as clusters of shared computing resources.

The new features of the R520.2 solution integrate the ability to optimize control system resources and I/O modules, significantly reducing the complexity and cost of automation projects and control systems.

Experion PKS Control HIVE has many other advantages, such as: great availability and redundancy can shorten unplanned downtime and reduce unplanned stops.

Extended equipment life; state-of-the-art maintenance and upgrades simplify lifecycle and support management.

In addition, Experion? PKS Control HIVE provides an open, scalable control platform that is compatible with other types of applications.

This reduces the complexity of integrating, operating and maintaining third-party systems and software packages.

The R520.2 solution further extends the capabilities of Control HIVE by decoupling elements of the control system that are traditionally engineered, configured and deployed.

Enabling more versatility and flexibility in the deployment of automation projects.

Other updated features include support for Honeywell C300PM and EHPM controllers, increasing the flexibility of upgrade programs.

Enhancements to unit-operated controllers for vertical end users such as life sciences, pulp and paper; and

PROFINET S2 redundancy support, as well as support for material requirements planning to improve availability and simplify equipment replacement.
